O que come, para o Senhor come, porque dá graças a Deus; e o que não come, para o Senhor não come, e dá graças a Deus. O apóstolo Paulo deixou claro que não importa o que comemos ou que dia guardamos. Se o fraco se escandaliza por qualquer coisa não devo julgá-lo, mas fazer o que creio ser melhor. Portanto, guardar dias santos, Natal, Páscoa, se é feriado ou não, isto não tem nenhuma importância. Se quero fazer uma grande festa para relembrar Cristo no Natal levando uma grande ceia para meu amigo pobre, ou se quero me reclusar em casa ou ir à igreja, são decisões que dependerão do momento e da necessidade! Ou se eu considero este feriado pecado porque creio que é uma igreja idólatra que o criou, então é minha consciência que manda. Se os que estavam presos por Cristo não tinham o que comer ou comiam o que lhes era oferecido, quem sou eu para dizer que ele deveria ou não comer?
